Research note: Job Satisfaction and working from home in Romania, before and during Covid-19

Based on ICTs development, telework is a rapidly changing phenomenon (Eurofound, 2017) and has provoked many debates how it influences people's lives (Allen, Golden Shockley, 2015; Golden, 2009), allowing people to work from anywhere anytime via laptops, tablets, smartphones (Maitland Thomson, 2014). The Covid-19 outbreak accelerated social change led forced entry of entire segments the workforce into telework. was steep in particular for countries with lower pre-pandemic incidence working home, such as Romania. Using longitudinal data an original series surveys (Voicu et al. 2020) carried out 2018 during Spring 2020 lockdown Romania, paper aims explore job satisfaction those working-from-home relation work-life boundaries, before quarantine period. Findings are useful deeper understanding new arrangements influence tele-workers' perceptions their quality life. Results indicate that while pandemic, home increasing age respondent (the younger being more satisfied home), trend changed quarantine, increased significantly over 40.
